Caring For Your New Chanel Bag

The very name of the iconic fashion brand Chanel conjures up images of indulgence and luxury in out head. And this is exactly what was intended by Coco Chanel when she started the company. Since then, Chanel has not only released a line up of the most beautiful dresses and wedding gowns in existence, but they expanded their work to footwear, jewellery, accessories and make up as well. Out of all these, the most success has been seen by their line of handbags every season. In fact, the quilted design has become a trademark of the fashion house.

Thus, when we go out and purchase a brand new Chanel bag for ourselves, we need to be very careful about how we treat the bag. Caring for your new bag can be quite a challenge, but it becomes easier if you follow some basic guidelines. The first and foremost to remember is that these bags must be keep away from moisture. Moisture is bad for all kinds of cloth and can reduce a new bag into a rag in a matter of weeks. When you purchase a new bag, it will have packets of silicate inside it and it is best to let them remain there.

When taking out the new Chanel bag, make sure you are not wearing any jewellery or accessories with sharp edges, since these can easily tangle up with the stitching of the bag and rip it off. Even though that can be fixed, if the bag gets a tear in the cloth, it can be very difficult to repair that damage. Do not hang you bag near dusty areas. It is best to keep the bag away from young children and pets as well. A new Chanel bag is expensive and glamorous, which is why taking care of it is so important!

If possible, avoid taking the bag near any food items. In case of a stain, do not use the usual cloth detergent at home. To remove much of the stain, a mixture of vinegar and lime juice should be gently applied in very small quantities. Ideally, the bag should either be dry cleaned or taken back to the point of purchase so that they can find a place that will remove the stains from the bag. Finally, when not in use, put the bag back in its original box and wrapping to prevent any damage.
